How will we help you?
You’ll work with our Youth Employment Coach and a small group of other young people in a supportive environment.
We keep our groups small so you can learn alongside others while still getting individual support based on your own goals and needs.
Launch Pad can help you with things like:
- Resume preparation and writing
- Cover letters and job applications
- Finding jobs and knowing where to look
- Job interview skills and practice
- Building confidence for work
- Communication in the workplace
- Working effectively as part of a team
- Problem solving
- Planning and organising
- Time management
- Understanding employer expectations
- Understanding your rights and responsibilities at work
- Organising the paperwork you need to start work, such as identification, bank details and tax information
- Exploring different industries and career pathways
- Connecting with local employers and businesses
- Preparing for further education or training if that is the right next step for you
The aim isn’t just to help you get a job. We want to help you build the skills and confidence to keep moving forward once you get one.
Qualifications and Training
As part of Launch Pad, you’ll have the opportunity to complete accredited training that can help strengthen your resume and open up more employment opportunities.
Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways
The Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways is designed to build practical foundation skills that can support you in employment, further study and everyday working life.
Responsible Service of Alcohol
You’ll also complete Responsible Service of Alcohol training, which can help open up employment opportunities in hospitality and other industries where alcohol is served or sold.
That means you can finish Launch Pad with more than just job-search skills — you’ll also have recognised training you can add to your resume.
