Who we help
Our current programs assist young people who are 16-25 years old, in the Townsville region, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Our services are designed to help young people in all situations including singles, couples, single parents, young families, and siblings.
If you find yourself in a situation where you are on the streets with nowhere safe to stay, about to get kicked out of home or even if you are having problems with your landlord or real estate, contact our team to find out how we can help you.
Unlike traditional shelters, all our accommodation is independent with varying levels of support depending on your needs plus our Mobile Outreach Support team offers support to those we are unable to accommodate.
Sharehouse Youth Programs is currently funded under the Department of Housing and Public Works Specialist Homelessness Program to provide Mobile Support (ST5) and Temporary Supported Accommodation (ST6), particularly, Immediate Supported Accommodation (ST7) and Transitional Supported Accommodation (ST8).
Sharehouse also has funding through the Dignity First Fund until January 2021 to provide basic furniture and whitegoods to young people (16-25) who have been homeless and are moving into long term-accommodation.
