Who we help
Our housing programs assist young people who are 16-25 years old, in the Townsville region, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Our services are designed to help young people in all situations including singles, couples, single parents, young families, and siblings.
If you find yourself in a situation where you are on the streets with nowhere safe to stay, about to get kicked out of home or even if you are having problems with your landlord or real estate, contact our team to find out how we can help you.
Unlike traditional shelters, all our accommodation is independent with varying levels of support depending on your needs plus our Street Reach Mobile Support team offers support to those we are unable to accommodate.
Our Ready for Work program, Step Into Success, assists young people who are 15 – 25 years old prepare for work and find jobs. During this course you will learn a range of skills to help prepare for work.
Our funding
Sharehouse Youth Programs is currently funded under the Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works to provide Mobile Support (ST5) and Temporary Supported Accommodation (ST6), particularly, Immediate Supported Accommodation (ST7) and Transitional Supported Accommodation (ST8).
Our Step Into Success program is currently funded under the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training to provide a Ready for Work program.
