Jenny King
ChairpersonJenny has been working in community services for over 20 years in a range of services including Tenant Advice, Sex Workers organisations and currently as a Financial Counsellor with ICAN. On the MC of Sharehouse, she works in the structural support of the organisation so that the amazing staff can do what they do best, supporting the needs of young people.

Luke O’Hare
Vice ChairpersonLuke has over 16 years’ experience working in the community services sector, with tenures within employment, education and training. Luke grew up in difficult circumstances after the death of his Father when he was 13 and through his lived and professional experiences Luke is determined to help create positive outcomes for young people in the community. Luke has qualifications in Business and Community Services and provides expert strategic operational support to Sharehouse.

Cherie McLaughlin
MemberCherie has worked in worked in the local community legal sector for over 6 years. She has a Bachelor of Laws and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. She is currently studying to complete a Masters in Human Resource Management. Due to a family breakdown early in her adult life, Cherie was left homeless with 2 young children and minimal support. She wants to ensure that there are support services in Townsville to assist young people in finding safe and secure housing which is core to improving their overall wellbeing.

Dr Anne-Frances Watson
SecretaryAnne-Frances grew up in Townsville and has a wealth of life experiences and knowledge that haven’t always been acquired in an easy way. Anne-Frances has a PhD in Media & Communication, with research focus and expertise in adolescent sexuality and sexuality education, and was previously an academic and Lecturer in Media & Communication. Anne-Frances is passionate about social justice, equity and ensuring that everyone has access to the support, resources, and opportunities needed to thrive instead of merely surviving.

Letitia Murgha
MemberLetitia is an Elder and Educator based in Townsville who is a proud descendant of the Kudjala and Kalkadoon people. Letitia has extensive experience in Education, Education Support and Educational Management, and has worked for the Department of Education for over 40 years across North Queensland, particularly in Cape York. Letitia has taught students from Prep to Year 12 while also working with their parents, care givers, and community members. In her work and in her life, Letitia is a fierce advocate for Indigenous students and their communities and is committed to the improvement of educational, and social and welfare outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people – especially children and young people.
