Basic Omelette Recipe

Ingredients:

Eggs 2-3

Butter 10g (or other fat for frying)

Method:

Break eggs into a bowl, lightly season with salt an pepper.

Beat well with a fork or whisk until yokes and whites are combined and no streaks of white can be seen.

Heat a frypan, add the butter and allow to melt.

Add the eggs and cook quickly, moving the mixture all the time with a fork until lightly set.

Remove from the heat and fold the Omelette in half.

Turn out onto plate to serve.

 

Variations on the basic recipe:

Omelettes are versatile, you can add other ingredients to make it more interesting for example:

Cheese

Tomato

Mushrooms

Herbs
