Sharehouse is an agency that offers accommodation and support to young people between the ages of 16 and 25 years old who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless for over 35 years in Townsville and surrounding areas.We offer Immediate Crisis accommodation with tenancy support and we can also assist you to sustain an existing tenancy with our Mobile Outreach Program.
Sharehouse was established in 1979 and offered crisis accommodation from a 5 bed house in Hermit Park and over the years moved to various properties until recently we had a shelter in Ralston Street, West End, Townsville which was purpose built in 1992.
We now have numerous units of accommodation offering different levels of support for young people aged 16 to 25 regardless of gender. We operate from an office space at the Housing Connections Centre at 296 Ross River Road, Aitkenvale alongside other services who operate from this site
